How is the 25 days of Lighting the World going?

11 Dec 2017

Hey Everyone!

How is the 25 days of Lighting the World going?

Fun things are happening here in Stratford!
Court House in Stratford, Ontario
1.) Our investigator Murray played the piano at our Branch Christmas dinner. He also bought a suit jacket for Church. He is doing really great. Last week we gave him "Jesus the Christ" to read and he loves it! It's like an 800 page book (small print) that studies in depth, the life of Jesus Christ. We said he will hopefully be done by Christmas. haha.
2.) We got our first full on "door slam" yesterday, but it was kinda funny because when she opened the door, her dogs ran out, so Sister Hudson helped them back in. She didn't say anything, she just slammed the door. So we are going to try and shovel her driveway super early on Christmas :) Tracting is kinda fun in the snow. haha!
3.) We had our Branch Christmas dinner, which turned out really good. We had more non members than members, and everyone who brought kids, did the nativity. It was so cute!
4.) We had an awesome lesson with our investigator Eric. I didn't get most of it because it was in French, but it was great, and Sister Hudson translated some it!

Not much else is new, but we are doing our best to Light the World.
Have an amazing week everyone! love you all!
Don't slip!!!

No snow... What???
Hey everyone!
This week has been pretty great!

1.) We had a pretty cool tracting experiences. We dropped by a less active who wasn't home so, we started tracting the crescent, and we met this guy named John from England. He wasn't interested, but we chatted for a few minutes and he invited us in for tea. We declined and left. Then we walked down the street a little ways, and both felt like we should go back... so we did it! It was a bit awkward, but we shared our testimonies, and he looked up the website while we were gone. We got to talk about the temple that is in Preston, England and it was so cool! He still didn't want to meet with us, but we got him a bit more interested, and we shared our experiences, and he told us we can come back and chat! It was so awesome!
2.) Caroling all day, everyday! The Christmas tunes have returned! (best time of the year!) We got to stop by a few families and sing to them. One had her daughter there who wasn't a member, and she totally like taught her son about the Christmas nativity, it was so cute!
3.) I am so grateful for this time of year, and the opportunities we have to serve those around us. People are much more loving and friendly to us weirdo's, who walk the streets of the Biebs (Justin Beiber) hometown haha!
4.) If you didn't get a chance to watch the Christmas devotional, it was so good! Look it up online! It helps us remember the purpose of Christmas! If your not into this amazing season yet, to get feeling it, do something to help someone out!

Love you all!
